Wolf Essay.

The name of my mammal is the wolf. The wolf is considered to be the ancestor of the domestic dog. It is a large animal weighing 60 - 120 lbs. It has powerful teeth used for tearing meat, a bushy tail and round pupils. Wolves live 6 - 10 years in the wild. But, because of this fear, humans have killed many wolves. In fact, the gray wolf is threatened in some areas and the red wolf is endangered in many southern states due to humans. Today, wolves are being re-introduced in many states to help increase their population and prevent the wolf's extinction.
