Wilfred Owen's war poetry

Wilfred Edward Salter Owen was born on 18 March 1893 in Oswestry, Shropshire and began to write poetry from a very young age. He went to London University, where he was known to be a quiet and thoughtful student. …as they are so close to death. This poem succeeds in conveying a sense of futile suffering very effectively and also highlights Owen's negative approach to war. All three of these poems demonstrate the fact that Owen is certainly not in favour of war and show his negative approach to certain aspects of this subject. They also show that he offers no comfort or consolation for the suffering that happens in the time of war.
