Why Europeons came to America

Lots of different nationalities for lots of different reasons decided to venture to America. Most like Christopher Columbus who came to America in 1492 sponsored by Spain, was looking for a passage to Asia. Others were encouraged by Columbus' discoveries and hired themselves out, those were called conquistadors. In conclusion, there were many different reasons for settling in America, but for the most part it was all about serving the mother country by creating wealth and it was also a place for oppressed people to take refuge. All the colonies evolved around making money and religious issues.
