has its strong points, it also left me confused and forced me to overly think about certain events and characters significance. Without a strong plot, interesting twist, or strong characters a movie will fail. The Shining has its fair share of ups and downs in those areas, in my opinion, so I have settled on complete middle ground. Viewer confusion can make or break a movie and this case is a perfect example of that.
