The Shining: Confusion vs. Horror

This essay is a four page review about my opinion of the horror film "The Shining" and the confusion it caused me. …has its strong points, it also left me confused and forced me to overly think about certain events and characters significance. Without a strong plot, interesting twist, or strong characters a movie will fail. The Shining has its fair share of ups and downs in those areas, in my opinion, so I have settled on complete middle ground. Viewer confusion can make or break a movie and this case is a perfect example of that.
