The Scarlet Letter

In the novel, "The Scarlet Letter", by Nathaniel Hawthorne, some of the characters change in different ways. There are three characters in the novel that I think change the most, and they are Hester Prynne, Arthur Dimmesdale, and Roger Chillingworth. All three characters change into different people and they may become better or worse people. At the beginning of the novel, you can tell that Hester is beginning to change. …better about herself and had the courage to be in front of people no matter what they thought of her. Chillingworth was a good person until he let revenge and hatred ruin his life. Dimmesdale waited seven long years to change and to be able to confess his sins to everyone. All three characters changed in good and bad ways, but the changes the characters went through made them sound more real to the reader.
