The Rights Revolution

The author has made a strong point of mentioning how Canada has been a prime example of the rights revolution. Throughout his lectures he discusses the importance of Canada and rights, and how other nations learn about rights by learning about Canada. …argues further that the trend of divorce coincide with cohabitation increasing, as well as rising levels of child abuse. Ignatieff contributes the rise in divorce with abortion rights, which he believes has increased freedom of women. As well he makes a good point of explaining that people today don't understand that marriages are not supposed to be perfect and that how they need both partners to work together equally in order to achieve these goals.
