not being honest to himself and the Lord Bercilak. He wanted to use the green belt in order to protect himself from the Green Knight. He only thought of himself that made him a human. Sir Gawain still had fears of losing his life in the challenge. This showed that although Sir Gawain was trying to be the perfect knight, he was just a normal person who still made mistakes, and sometimes could be dishonest.
