The Apostle Paul: Public System vs. Private Faith.

Undoubtedly, Paul has made a great contribution to the Christian religion and its system. Through his letters he dismantled the old Jewish system and established a new but not entirely new one. Paul made a radical interpretation of the Hebrew Scriptures rethinking the Jewish system. Instead of the old system of law and works, Paul believed in the mew system of Christ and faith. In Galatians 3 Paul uses Abraham who is in the Old Testament …

…and taught them. However, much of his ideas, which can be seen throughout his letters, were taken from the old system or were the inferences of the old ideas. Paul also used very often the exampled from the Old Testament in order to prove his "new" point of view. Therefore, it is clear that Paul tried to create a new Christian system which was initially based on the old system represented in the Old Testament.
