Even the ash at the bottom of this oven share qualities with other types of dust, but it is the quality to be able to know and not believe, to doubt, to wonder, and to peer into the glass and worry about our future that sets us apart from the dust. How do I know I'm a pretzel? Because I'm just like you. Because I don't know. And neither do you.
