She was white, so she had not seen some of the worst of the country. She had some great memories that she shared with my class about South Africa, but she never said anything negative. …of South Africa lead to the abolition of apartheid. After the boycott was lifted, my Aunt Traci went with Irene Cara, a black artist, to South Africa. Irene Cara was the first black artist to perform in South Africa from another country after the boycott was lifted. In the absence of apartheid, I believe South Africa has become a much better country. South Africa truly lives up to its motto "A World in One Country".
