Rousseau and his political theory- Theory of General Will

I believe very strongly in equality, and Rousseau's theory lets people have control over their authority and that therefore makes them free of forced laws and a higher power. His government tries to eliminate competition and greed, and therefore reduces the need for conflict and violence, which is what is wrong in most societies and governments. Rousseau envisions a society where altruism reigns and the goodwill of all is essential.
