Renaissance artists took great credit and pride for their fine buildings. Renaissance sculpture also reflected classical style. Many nude, freestanding statues were sculpted in bronze or marble resembled ancient Greek and Roman figures. Some of the best-known renaissance sculptors were Michelangelo and Donatello. They were both from Florence.
