Studying Pre-1900 love poetry was not as boring as I thought it would be, considering the origin of the poems. In fact they were very fascinating to read and to study. …her to write such a poem and even get it published! Robert Burns's poem was very promising however, there was a lot of cream on the cake! He promised the girl a lot of thing and the reader soon gets sick of it. However, it was utterly romantic. It is very interesting how poems sound so boring at first glance and by the second and third read you have a completely different opinion about it.
