…Because a lot of their work was done on-sight, outdoors, they were interested in the position of the sun for reflections and shadows. This particular painting was done on a boat. The trees are a range of lime greens. The use of blues and greens captures the landscape as if it is being shown on the most beautiful day. There is a sense of movement in the water with the reflection and in the trees.
