Oedipus rex (Socrates): The great tragedy

This, and other examples of other character's destinies being completed, helps to show that one can not control their fate, even if they try terribly hard fate is fate and will still happened; it is destined to happen. Oedipus Rex, written by Socrates, helps to show that one cannot outsmart and outrun life's outcome.
