…paint them in an exaggerated fashion. Characteristics, though apparent in both, are more easily recognized in the works of Italian Renaissance artists. It is my belief that perhaps values and norms had shifted by the time that the Renaissance reached the North. My favorite of the two pieces is Raphael's because it is more aesthetically pleasing, however, I enjoy how Brueghel is not afraid to stray from the traditional ways of artists during his time.
