Those victims are not prisoners, but heroes. The Nazis are not honorable soldiers but primitive, closed-minded beasts. And we are not distant ancestors, but brothers and sisters of those who survived, called to remember their suffering. We must learn from the mistakes of the past and grow to love each other: to love each other like God intended. Although people are essentially good, this essence is quickly lost, and not quickly regained.
