Middle School Days

In middle school, friendships can feel like they will last forever. Just remember back to the first day of sixth grade and how exciting those first few months went. As cliche as it sounds I thought my life couldn't get any better because I had a best friend. A best friend that was better then the rest. One that would be there for me through thick and thin. …what it had done to me, I am able to remember it as just the past. Just this single period of time was able to change my whole perspective on life. In a way I guess I am thankful for having the chance to see how surreal and challenging it is. And as slightly selfish as it may sound, I understand that I can only find true satisfaction within myself and not through another individual.
