Jamaica, A failed State

In August 6, 1962 Jamaica dismantled the shackles of motherhood and bade goodbye to England by proclaiming itself an independent nation. At that time the island was one of the most economically viable in the Caribbean because it was rich in natural resources such as sugar and bauxite which was in huge demand worldwide. Anyone who believes that Jamaica has successfully developed since independence, look at its most prominent accomplishments i.e. a faltering economy, a failing educational system, the level of unemployment and I did not even elaborate on one of the most concerning issue which is the blossoming crime rate. If after looking at these problems, your mind remain unchanged then you may be a contributor to its failure.
