Language and You In my opinion, language is certainly the most essential quality human beings have inherited. It is the only way to communicate, and it sure is fascinating how we can convert our thoughts into words. Since language lets us express our feelings, I think learning a second language gives us valuable life skills, as well as, a wider vision of today's world. …Not only do we gain a better understanding of who we are, but we also have a broader access to other cultures. Due to the many experiences I have had with language, I think I have learned to appreciate the fact that I can speak, read, and write. I also have to give credit to my favorite song writer and poet, Tupac Shakur, whose words of wisdom have inspired me and many of today's youth.
