How has your understanding of the consequences of change been shaped by the techniques used by various composers? …in other occasions such as in Secrets and Lies all the central characters, by exposing their secrets, become liberated and understand the importance of close familial ties. In a similar vein, in The Secret Garden, the protagonist evolves through growth, becoming less sickly, less foul tempered and more engaged with the world. These latter two texts present positive views on the consequences on change, which differs from the concept of change expressed in The River.
