The process of Gatsby earning the wealth is never mentioned directly in the story and the readers are induced to overlook Gatsby as Nick intended. Nick makes the readers think that he is the only one sensible and has some morality. He puts himself on the higher level than other characters and therefore he seems to be judgmental.
