Gandhi was an Indian lawyer and a leader of nonviolent movements to free India from Britain's rule. He accomplished this and many other things in his life that made a big impact on history as we know it. He was killed by a Muslim extremist, ironically a member of his own religion. His many accomplishments in life were a major part in history.
