Galicia
In Northwest Spain, lies the small region of Galicia. Known as the "land of 1000 rivers," it has waterways that flow all throughout, from its mountainous inland to the coast. three years after Spain obtained its own constitutional monarchy, Galicia received a pre-autonomy regime, and became officially an Autonomous Community by Organic Law on April 6, 1981. Under the still-existent parliament and President Manuel Fraga Iribarne, Galicia has shaped into the prosperous region it is today.
