Rene Descartes has generated many arguments proving that the mind and body are two separate realities, but none stronger than his "Argument from Consciousness". The ability to doubt, to wonder and to hope is all generated by the mind, which is merely a partner with the body, not one in the same. The Argument of Consciousness proves that because our minds have the desire to question our body, they cannot be one in the same.
