Discuss the main events in the life of Leni Riefenstahl between 1921 - 1945

Leni Riefenstahl was born in 1902 in Berlin.As a child, she was shielded from the impacts of WWI and the social hardships of hyperinflation and the depression. As a young girl she excelled in athletics and gymnastics, but her passion was dancing. She completed her formal schooling in boarding school and then went on to become a skilled dancer. She began her work in 1921 under the guidance of Max Reinhardt and traveled around Europe performing. …

In 1952, she was exonerated of any war crimes but declared a Nazi sympathizer and a 'fellow traveler', aiming to advance her career.She could never work in film again and was shunned by the film industry. In the later part of her life she spent time in Sudan documenting the Nuba people through still photographs. She published several books of her photos which one much acclaim. She died in 2003 at the age of 103.
