Nonetheless Boticelli follows the tradition of numerous other renaissance and Italian painters by creating beautiful, but religious masterpieces that do not accurately tell the time in which they were created, but instead tell of the Catholic churches enduring influence over Italian art and culture regardless of their involvement.
