Courage

Courage is the state of mind that enables one to face danger. I feel that in the poems: The Bridge, The Old Stoic, and I Am Not One of Those Who Left the Land, courage is displayed in many different ways. …because it tells the ideas of someone is not afraid to go against the status quo. The last poem deals with courage in a different way than the other two. It is about a woman who has the courage to stay when others leave. Her display of courage is truly passionate and is described by her words and emotions. She struggles with her country, but she has the courage to stay. I admire her loyalty.
