Comparison of Fall of the House of Usher and Vertigo

Both Hitchcock’s Madeleine in Vertigo, and Poe’s Madeline in “Fall of the House of Usher,” appear to return from the dead after suffering from an unknown illness. …and Madeline are very similar in all of their aspects and they lived very similar lives. Both Usher and Scotty fell in love with them. There are some who believe that after they return from the dead that they are only figments of Scotty and Usher’s imaginations. I, on the other hand, do not believe that. They each lived similar lives and theirs actions were practically identical.
