Comparing similarities and differences between Medieval Europe, China and Islamic countries.

Relationships between the individual and society vary between cultures, religions and ethnicities. Nevertheless, throughout history, how the individual is seen in society varies accordingly. Relationships between the community and individual are emphasized, as the well being of the community should be embraced. The relationships in the Middle Ages can be compared to those of countries where the community is central and individualistic views are not regularly embraced. It was not until the Renaissance that individualism became priority in Europe.
