Clemency

Clemency is a disposition to show mercy, especially toward and offender or enemy. Pardon is to release (a person) from punishment; exempt from penalty: a convicted criminal who was pardoned by the governor. The clemency process varies from state to state, typically including the governor and/or a board of advisors. …system because if you murder someone and you are convicted then we murder you. Two wrongs don't make a right. It's ok for the government to kill someone, but not anyone else? That makes no sense. There might be an innocent inmate on death row and we would never know. An inmate could be there because of lies. Just because you are under oath doesn't mean that people don't go on the stand and lie.
