…to see what people and animals and plants might look like if we were in cartoon. Albert and Hammerstein went over board with brightly coloured sets and scenery. Houses were green, pink and yellow. The sky was so blue that it seemed impossible and furniture was fake and multi-coloured. This is where the movie lost me, the sets and even some of the costumes seemed more appropriate for a stage production rather than a movie.
