Chaos on the island

In the novel Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, the reader can see how a society of boys quickly dissolves into a chaotic and erratic group of salvages. Ralph and Jack stepped up to leading and enforcing in all the wrong ways, which resulted in deaths and injuries. Golding shows the reader that it is close to impossible to run a society of any age, without proper leadership, law enforcement and a structured environment.
