I agree with Cassirer when he says that, myth, art, language and science appear as symbols; not in the sense of mere figures which refer to some given reality by means of suggestion and allegorical . . . in the sense of forces each of which produces and posits a world of its own. (p. 8).

ours. In the sense of language, it does not have its own life. We use language only as a mere symbol so we can live our lives. The words do not capture the reality; we use the words to capture the reality.
And it is a veritable monkey's puzzle... as much as we try to understand these symbols' reality the more confuse we will get and just put us in circles to were we started.
