Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. Her father was Otto Frank and her mother was Edith Frank. Anne had a sister named Margot; and also lived with her grandmother. Anne Frank is famous because she wrote in her diary during the Holocaust. Her diary was later published. The Holocaust was when Nazis (German soldiers) tried to take over Europe. Four days later, they were all sent to concentration camps. Everyone from the secret annex died in the camps except Otto Frank. Later Otto Frank remarried and published his daughter's book because in her diary she said all she wanted to be was a famous writer.
