Analysis of The Innocents based on Turn of the Screw

THE INNOCENTS Miss Giddons is insane and Flora and Miles are not corrupted by the ghosts of Peter Quint and Miss Jessel. …of their past caretakers. Miss Giddons's wild imagination of the ghosts scares the children. Flora and Miles do not really see or hear the ghosts even though Miss Giddons thinks that they do. By doing so, Miss Giddons was opening up wounds that didn't fully heal yet. The children were still grieving the loss of their beloved caretakers and Miss Giddons was forcing them to believe that the ghosts of their caretakers had come back.
