Analysis of Death of a Salesman

Arthur Miller's, 'Death of a Salesman' is a story that stems from both his personal experiences as well as theatrical traditions in which playwright was born. To be completely honest, I was skeptical about choosing this film since I have heard rave reviews about the play version from friends and colleagues. …is arguable whether this is a drama, a tragedy, a piercing social commentary, an affirmation of the American spirit or perhaps just the depiction of a salesman's life. The film runs between extremes of humor and anguish, promise and loss, all within the confines of the American ideal to show you that what should be an easy wide open door, is actually closed, and broken. Death of A Salesman is nothing short of a masterpiece.
