…to come together and work as a team. This is an important part of the poem because she uses repetition which means that she wants to tell us that this is the most important. Maya Angelou is in a league of her own. I don't think we will ever have an African American writer more respected or talented than this woman. Her talent as a writer is now a precedent for writers of the future.
