Aesthetic Interest and Art

Aesthetic interest is the attention paid to the perceptual aspects of the world, focusing on surface appearances. Aesthetic interest may be directed at a variety of man made and natural objects, perceived by any of the five senses. For example, we may enjoy looking at a mountain range, listening to the sounds of birds singing, smelling fresh flowers, feeling the texture of springy heather when we touch it or the taste of fine wine. …that, following this theory of art, the possession of aesthetic interest is not a necessary condition for something to be called an artwork. I say that they can be successfully applied to the definition since each of the works of art are a human creation which contain ideas other than their utilitarian purposes. I believe that each of these artworks express a concept that places the art work in a space beyond their utilitarian purposes.
