…becoming a shallow and pretentious person - exactly the kind of person Frank despises. The good thing is that there is probably still enough of the 'old' Rita left to ensure that she will not change too much. As she cuts Frank's hair at the end of the play, we can hope that there is a future for both of them that will give them happiness and contentment, even if they are no longer together.
