OF MICE AND MEN
In John Steinbeck’s novel, OF MICE AND MEN, his theme of following your dreams and not being selfish was very clear. By opening the story with two dominant characters, George and Lennie, talking about their dreams to by a piece of land and build there dream place he showed us a great relationship between two friends. As the story continues they begin to carry out their plan.

screams for George who calms Lennie down by having him picture their dream place across the river. When Lennie does this George pulls out a gun and shoots Lennie in the back of the head.
I think Mr. Steinbeck was trying to sa that you should always follow your dreams. The main inportant message of the novel is that you should not be selfish and consider the other people around you who are less fortunate.
