The image of Macbeth changed drastically throughout the play. It was best put in Malcolm’s words in Act IV, scene 3, and line 13. Macbeth was a trusted, noble, and loyal man. He changed so that, by the end he had become a murderous, ambitious man who only cared about himself and his family.
