I had the privilege to take a trip to the Hawaiian
Islands this semester and it was truly a cultural
experience. As well as culture the ambiance of the society
and the traditions I was privileged to see were alone quiet
amazing. The greatest thrill was a performance that was
done a long time ago and is still done today. The ancient
Hawaiians have a tradition of a Luoa which contains hula

…showed last 75 words of 1882 total…be to say I truly felt privileged to be
there. I felt they were sharing with the audience what
makes Hawaii special. I felt that through their dance and
song they were truly a community, this type of performance
has been apart of there culture for hundreds of years. They
have made a comfortable atmosphere for everyone to be
relaxed and for everyone to enjoy and I will never forget my
Loua in Hawaii.
