Many of us see things as they are, but do we really know what they truly are? People hide behind the truth constantly inventing a shield for themselves because they are terrified of what people might find out. Hiding the truth can be an evil act occurring until the person gives up. Shakespeare¡¯s play Hamlet can be illustrated as a classic tale of a childlike prince

Through the play Polonius hides behind his mask appearing to be an honest loving parent. In reality Polonius lies, and manipulates people and loves to listen to other people¡¯s conversation. Hamlets attitude in the play increases with intensity as Polonius¡¯ action intensify with hate. The appearance of Polonius is a loving and caring, but in actuality he is ¡°cold and sick at heart¡±.
