…showed last 75 words of 817 total…a kid, which I never realised. Last of all he told me to stay gold, “Stay gold Ponyboy” he said and the he went on to a better place.
To me Johnny was gold...And “nothing gold can stay.”
Then I looked around to see the teary eyes of the gatherers when I noticed something I never thought would happen...Johnnys parents were crying, crying for him, and I knew that Johnny was watching.
