I remember the days when the name “Nintendo” was synonymous with “video game.” Everyone who played video games knew of Donkey Kong and Mario Brothers. Nintendo’s GameCube could possibly follow the same path as Sega’s Dreamcast. A couple of years ago the Dreamcast, which was PS1’s main competitor, also lowered its price to $99, hoping to lure consumers. They eventually failed due to lack of quality software developers willing to work with them. Before long they discontinued the failed system.
