Zoos have come a long way from their grim beginnings. Ideally it could be used to investigate why endangered species are endangered, and why so many of the original habitats of the species have disappeared. Most important, it cold be used to explore how we can change our habits and reorient our behavior, attitudes, and priorities, so we can begin to address these issues.
