WHO IS COMMUNITY AID ABROAD?
Community Aid Abroad was founded by Father Gerard Kennedy Tucker, an Anglican clergyman in 1953. After hearing one of Father Tucker’s speeches, a few pensioners in a nursing home saved up 12 shillings each week to send to patients in a hospital in an Indian Village. The original group was established in Melbourne and known as Food for Peace. Eventually the groups spread and in 1962 the name was changed to Community

the world. Also, trying to give every person in the world the chance to exercise his or her 5 basic rights. With the situation in Malawi, they will keep sending emergency food aid until April 2003. Community Aid Abroad is a truly wonderful campaign and what strikes me the most about it is the sense of community that they work by. They will continue working like this in the future and will surely reap the maximum rewards.
