…come to understand why I was an addicted who was out of control and needed to do something about it. This behavior and love from them became intrinsic in me understanding the idea and concept of Step 1 before it was even uttered to me. As I grew in hope, and it was definitely a growing from nothing, I came to understand the concepts and accept my own powerlessness and the unmanageable ness of my life.
