Personally, I have made many sacrifices throughout my life, such as dedicating my free time to help my neighbors with yard work or help my sister with homework, that I did not find particularly enjoyable. But does that make it insignificant? If everyone were to make their decisions based on maximizing pleasure, many duties and responsibilities that need to be done to sustain life would not be completed. Thus, who would be happy then?
